This is a list of new features requested by users.
- Thingspeak process automatically starts at boot time
Status: Implemented in Dec. 2015 release
- Current date/time displayed on LCD screen
Status: Implemented in Dec. 2015 release
- Emails from LiV. User should be able to configure LiV to send alarms and reports by email at pre-defined times.
Status: Implemented in LiV V1_0
- Each LiV device has a name that can be configured so users know which unit sends email notification if they have a few units running at the same time that use the same address to send email.
Status: Implemented in LiV V1_0
- LiV sends alarm and report tweets.
Status: Implemented in LiV V1_0
- Users can set custom messages for notifications (e.g. "CO2 level is too high, please open windows or turn on AC unit")
Status: Open
- LiV device can send notifications to email lists, not just one email address.
Status: Implemented in LiV V1_0
- Introduce band setting to avoid sending and clearing alarms continuously when measurement oscillates around threshold value. (e.g. for co2 threshold 1000ppm and band_setting=5%, CO2 alarm is sent when co2 level exceeds 1000ppm and it is cleared when co2 level goes under 950ppm - threshold plus/minus 5%)
Status: Open
- LiV Intranet web page displays the measurement data in graphical form (e.g. gauges with green, yellow and red sections for the CO2 - if CO2 exceeds 2000 ppm, then gauge moves to red section indicated alert)
Status: Open
- Allow user to choose Fahrenheit and inches of mercury for temperature and air pressure measurements respectively (default is C and hPa).
Status: Implemented in LiV V1_0
- Have configuration setting to turn off display backlight ( e.g. turn off backlight after 11pm, turn on again after 7am)
Status: Open
- MQTT agent on LiV
Status: Open
- Integrate LiV with Domoticz
Status: Open
- Integrate LiV with Openhab
Status: Open
- Due to heat dissipated by Raspberry Pi, temperature readings are about two Celsius degrees higher than normal when DHT22 sensor is placed inside the case. For accurate temperature measurements, users should use extension cable to connect DHT22 sensor out of the case - to the DHT22 plug close to the CO2 calibration switch on the back of the device. We could add a feature to adjust temperature readings in software when temp sensor is placed inside the case.
